(WJW) -- It's not every day one finds wildlife happily palling around with their pets. But that was the case for one Australian man who reportedly walked into his yard to find a baby koala with its arms around his golden retriever.

Steve Lamplough, a resident of southwest Victoria, took to a community Facebook group to share sweet photos of his dog giving the koala a piggyback ride.

"Heard the dogs barking and went outside and called them, and Denni came running up to me with this on her back, both as happy as Larry," Lamplough explained in the post, using an Australian expression that means extremely happy.

The dog owner said he soon removed the small marsupial and placed it back into a tree for it
