Ahmedabad, Oct 3 (UNI) Test cricket is often about graft, resolve and moments etched in memory, and the first India–West Indies Test here at Narendra Modi Stadium added a fresh chapter to that tradition as three Indian batsmen – KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja – brought up centuries in the same innings, marking the third such instance for India in 2025.

Rahul, after years of frustration on home soil, finally found redemption. On 64.5 overs, he leaned into a Roston Chase delivery, nudged it past mid-wicket and raised his bat with a mix of relief and delight. It was his 11th Test hundred, but only his second at home- the last had come back in 2016. Helmet off, badge kissed, Rahul’s celebration told of a burden lifted after nearly a decade of waiting.
