The Brockville Curling Club is starting the season off with a bang as it welcomes a two-time Olympic curler to its rink.

Lisa Weagle, who represented Canada at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics, will be putting on a one-day coaching clinic at the Brockville Country Club as part of the club’s open house event.

“This is such an exciting opportunity for local curlers,” said Jackie Empey, the curling chair for the Brockville Curling Club. “We can’t wait, it’s going to be great.”

Weagle will be running the clinic on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 6:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with tickets costing $100 plus tax.
