Fresh off a sixth-place finish at the 2025 America’s Finest City tournament, the Coronado Islanders boys’ water polo team’s recent quality play continued this past week. As the Islanders picked up a pair of home wins, defeating Mt. Carmel 13-8 and Clairemont 13-7.
“The biggest takeaway is we continue to see growth and progress with this group,” said Coach David Throop. “We’re moving forward purposely. We are doing the right little things. Neither game was very sharp for us. But coming off two intense weeks and the distractions of homecoming, to come away with two solid wins is a good sign.”
