Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai named Ravi Thadhani, MD, executive vice president of clinical affairs and chief medical officer for the system and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Thadhani is an internationally recognized leader in nephrology and preeclampsia, according to an Oct. 3 system news release. In his new role, he will oversee clinical quality and safety, medical affairs and medical practice standards of care for the health system and affiliated hospitals.
He joined the system in 2017, previously holding leadership positions at other systems. Most recently, he was executive vice president for health affairs at Atlanta-based Emory University and executive director of Emory’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center.
