MARSHALL - With operations set to begin in its temporary courthouse this month, Madison County still has to figure out plans for its existing courthouse, as well as its planned new courthouse , estimated at $98 million.
The Madison County Courthouse, located on Main Street in Marshall, began operating in 1908, making it one of the oldest operational courthouses in the state. The courthouse is on the National Registry for Historic Places, and as such, is subject to guidelines and regulations.
