HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The case against a Hastings teenager charged with sexual assault is headed to trial court.

Court records reveal 17-year-old Tanner Graf is charged with first-degree sexual assault.

Hastings Police arrested Graf Sept. 22. Charging documents indicate that’s the date the alleged assault happened.

Police said the victim was a girl between the ages of 13 and 17. Police said the two were not in a relationship but they did know of each other.

Phelps County Attorney Corey O’Brien has been named the special prosecutor in the case, according to court records.

The case was transferred Thursday to Adams County District Court for possible trial. His arraignment is set for Oct. 15. At arraignment, a suspect typically pleads guilty or not guilty to the charges faced.
