CONCORD, N.H. —

A judge on Friday sentenced a Northfield man who pleaded guilty to killing his sister-in-law and young nephews to decades in prison with a "narrow" possibility at parole.

Eric Sweeney was sentenced to three sentences of 60 years to life in prison, with all three sentences to be served concurrently, which means they will all be served at once.

According to the judge, the defendant can shave three years off the minimum sentence if he earns his high school diploma or equivalent degree. He can shave another three years off the minimum sentence if he completes a vocational program approved by the Department of Corrections.
