EXCLUSIVE: Emmy winner Jason Bateman will be making his third feature as a director with Universal ‘s adaptation of John Grisham ‘s The Partner . The Ozark star, EP and director will also executive produce The Partner under his Aggregate Films, with his partner Michael Costigan producing.

Deadline first told you about the project which Tom Holland is producing and is planning to headline.

Rideback secured rights to the 1997 novel and put Imitation Game Oscar-winning scribe Graham Moore on it and set the project up at Universal. Rights were previously in the hands of New Regency which made Grisham classics Time to Kill, The Client, and Runaway Jury. Jonathan Eirich will produce the feature and Nick Reynolds will executive produce for Rideback.
