A Vineland man accused of trying to lure children to his vehicle had a loaded gun under his seat, police allege.

Rogelio Vega, 33, is charged with lewdness, gun crimes and other offenses, according to Vineland police.

An ongoing investigation began at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 29, when officers responded to multiple reports of a man trying to lure children into his car while engaging in lewd behavior, a police account stated.
