KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is set to resume full operations Saturday despite the current federal government shutdown, according to a release from Sevier County.

The release said the opening was made possible through a partnership with local and state governments, as well as with the Friends of the Smokies and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
