LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — Interstate 40 East was shut down for a second day in a row near the I-75 split in Loudon County after a crash.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the crash happened at mile marker 366 around 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
Traffic was backed up into Roane County for a mile past the exit to U.S. 321.
As of 5:10 p.m., one lane had reopened to traffic.
A car fire in the same spot on Thursday afternoon closed the interstate.
