DES MOINES, Iowa —
For those of you around “back in the day,” you may remember that if a movie was smaller and couldn’t afford the big media blitz like the blockbusters, who could flood every commercial break with ads, it had to rely on the poster (or the video box cover, later on) to sell you on buying a ticket. Between the theaters and video stores, I developed my love of movie artwork, and I especially loved it when the movies had creative taglines.
Recently, I logged onto IMDb and the banner ad at the top of the homepage caught my eye. I’m not ashamed to admit, this was mostly because the main picture was of a woman in a bikini. This woman was obviously in the throes of passion, and whoever she is on top of is underwater. Not just any water. Blood red water. Underneath which, we don’
