JERUSALEM, Israel – Hamas said late on Friday that it has agreed to some elements of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip, including giving up power and releasing all remaining hostages. But the ceasefire agreement doesn't appear to be a done deal, because the terror group said some elements of the plan require further consultations among Palestinians.

The statement came after Trump gave Hamas an ultimatum to agree to the deal by Sunday evening or else, threatening an even greater military onslaught nearly two years after the Palestinian group committed thousands of heinous atrocities against the Jewish people on Oct. 7, 2023, holding Israeli hostages and the remains of murdered hostages for two years since that point.
