Two teenage girls are safe after an alleged kidnapping that crossed state lines.
The girls, who are 13 and 17, were picked up in Baltimore and then driven to Stafford County, Virginia, authorities said. They rushed out of a Quality Inn on Wednesday, saying they'd been kidnapped and had just escaped, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

The girls flagged down a man who happened to be an off-duty law enforcement officer. They told him they'd been kidnapped by a stranger from Baltimore and that he was still inside the hotel, the sheriff's office said.
There were two rooms that appeared to be registered under the suspect's name, the sheriff's office said. They said they found drugs and paraphernalia in plain
