TEMPLE, Texas — Central Texans have plenty of options to get out and enjoy the weekend, from triathlon action along the Brazos River to rodeo thrills and family festivals.

The annual Ironman 70.3 Waco brings athletes and spectators to Indian Spring Park this Sunday as the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo continues its run at the Extraco Events Center through Oct. 12. In Belton, families can also look forward to the Boy Scouts of America’s Fall Family Festival on Saturday, and music lovers can mark their calendars for the Central Texas Soul Fest in Temple on Oct. 11.
