A British man was found dead at a hotel in Dubai after swallowing several packages of drugs.

Jensen Westhead had swallowed packages of cocaine before boarding a plane to the UAE at Manchester Airport.

He suffered from a fatal overdose after one of the packs burst open in his stomach.

Jensen, 20, was discovered dead at Hotel Avalon in Dubai on December 4, 2024.

Four people have since been charged with drug offences and will appear in court later this month.

Rebecca Hatch, Glenn Hatch, Alexander Tofton and Steven Stephenson have all been charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade the prohibition on exportation of a class A drug. Stephenson faces further charges of being involved in the supply of cocaine.

All four will appear before Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on October 31.
