Since Combs has served a year in prison already, this sentence means he would be released in about three years. The 55-year-old hip-hop mogul was convicted in July of flying people across state lines for drug-fueled marathon sexual encounters, violations of the the Mann Act. Jurors acquitted him of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges that could have carried a life sentence.
