NEW ORLEANS —

The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority is waiving fares on Saturday for early voting and Election Day as part of the "Rolls to the Polls" campaign.

Free transit will be provided for early voting on Saturday, Oct. 4 and election day Saturday, Oct. 11. Advertisement

Riders can ride at no charge on all RTA buses, streetcars, and ferries.

The free fare system does not apply to special events such as the Gretna Heritage Festival. Standard ferry rates will apply for this service.
