DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Almost 23 pounds of methamphetamine were taken off the streets, and two suspects are behind bars, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

On Oct. 2nd, DeKalb PD and the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office conducted an operation in the 3400 block of Pleasant Brook Village Ln around 3:30 p.m.

The operation led to the arrest of 20-year-old Jacob Smith. 22-year-old Javier Magallanes led officers on a brief chase, but was arrested after police disabled his vehicle.

In addition to the 22.99 pounds of meth, investigators also seized a large amount of money.

The two men face charges of trafficking methamphetamine.
