Police are investigating a domestic violence incident in New Britain on Friday afternoon that led to multiple people being stabbed, according to multiple media reports.

Officers responded to a residence on Allen Street around 2 p.m., according to the New Britain Police Department .

Arriving officers learned that there had been an alleged domestic violence incident and found multiple people suffering from stab wounds, police said. The stabbing victims were transported to area hospital. The extent of their injuries were unknown at this time.

Police said the suspect was located at the scene and detained. The suspect’s identity was not released at this time.
