Brown and Rhode Island have been playing football for more than 100 years, but when the Bears and Rams face each other tonight, the longtime instate rivalry will boast a brand new look. For the first time, the annual Governor's Cup matchup will be held at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, home of the Rhode Island FC.

Brown will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak while No. 8 URI is hoping to both maintain dominance over an in-state foe and remain on track for a second straight FCS playoff berth. For the Rams, playing in Pawtucket will soon become the norm. The team has signed a short-term contract with Rhode Island FC to play their 2026 home games in Centreville Bank Stadium while URI's Meade Stadium undergoes a $42-million renovation .
