(KRON) -- Oasis guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs will miss the next leg of the band's reunion tour to undergo cancer treatment. Arthurs, a founding member of the Manchester rock group, announced on his Instagram Friday that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier this year.

"The good news is I'm responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour," Arthurs wrote. "Now, I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care, so I'll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney."

Arthurs added that he was "really sad" to be missing the shows but would be back in time for the South American leg of the tour.
