FOREST ACRES, S.C. (WIS) - The City of Forest Acres is holding an event to mark the 10th anniversary of the 1000-year flood that devastated the Midlands and to honor a police officer who was killed in the line of duty days before the flood.
The “Remember and Rise” event is a free community concert being held at Gills Creek Memorial Park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and will feature a performance from the Reggie Sullivan Band.
Food and beverages will also be available for purchase from various vendors on site, including Jeb’s Famous Hot Dogs, Lazy Daisy Coffee Shop, Schiano’s Pizza and Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream.
