MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Vermont farmworkers and dairy entrepreneurs celebrated a new partnership Friday in Addison County.

Vermont Way Foods, a local organic produce brand, will soon launch a new cheese in collaboration with Migrant Justice's "Milk with Dignity" program.

The new line will be called "Cheese with Dignity" - and will be available at stores around the region. While the program has been around for eight years, this cheese will be the first time the Milk with Dignity label will appear on a product.

The two groups officially announced the collaboration Friday morning in Middlebury. They say that, as part of the agreement, conditions on the dairy farms that produce cheese with the label will be monitored to make sure they comply with labor standards.
