Victoria Beacon-Hill MLA Grace Lore says she is recovering after undergoing cancer treatment and surgery earlier this summer.
Lore was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in November 2024, shortly after being re-elected in the October 2024 provincial election.
At the time, she said she was stepping away from her role as B.C.’s Minister of Children and Family Development but was staying on as MLA for Victoria-Beacon Hill.
In July, she provided a health update saying she was set to undergo surgery and months of chemotherapy treatment.
On Friday afternoon, she said the treatment had been a “long journey” of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
