YANKTON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A Yankton County man will spend the next ten years in prison.
Authorities said Timothy Wilson was sentenced to 25 years, with 15 years suspended, after pleading guilty to aggravated assault.
The case stems from a stabbing on April 24, 2025.
Wilson was on parole at the time of the incident.
“We commend the diligent work of the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation for their comprehensive investigation,” said State’s Attorney Tyler Larsen. “This sentencing reflects our commitment to protecting our community and holding individuals accountable for violent crimes.”
