Future Ruins, the ambitious film-music festival/concert overseen by Nine Inch Nails ’ Oscar-winning duo of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, was suddenly canceled on Friday. The event had been scheduled for Nov. 8.

The event, scheduled to take place at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, was to feature such film-music luminaries as John Carpenter, Questlove (performing the soundtrack work of Curtis Mayfield), Danny Elfman, Mark Mothersbaugh and Hildur Guðnadóttir amid a robust schedule (see it here ).
