APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Appleton is working on a new plan to transform West College Avenue, with safety and the community at the forefront.
The project, called A New Avenue, is hoping to revitalize the street, making it safer and more inviting to the community.
West College Avenue between Mall Drive and Richmond Street could look different soon. City leaders unveiled a new vision focused on green space, driving improvements like bike lanes and a new identity.
“I am nervous, especially with any kind of construction,” The owner of Wild Habitats on College Avenue, Brady Bartel, said. “If it's going to be a headache to get into the building, I'm interested to see what the traffic is going to look like.”
