MOORHEAD — Jaylee Hofer scored twice in less than minute to help Northern State put away Minnesota State Moorhead 4-1 on Friday for its first NSIC women's soccer victory of the season.

The sophomore from Sioux Falls tallied in the 87th and 88th minutes, ruining any chances of a Dragon comeback.

Senior Lilly Johnson scored on a header off a cross from sophomore Abby Toso to give the Dragons a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute. Chloe Voss tied the match less than a minute later for the Wolves. (1-6-1, 1-3-1).

Deshani Peters then put Northern State up 2-1 when she connected in the 67th minute.

Quinn Carter made five stops for the Dragons while Ilee Neemeyer had two for the Wolves.

The Dragons (2-5-1, 1-4 NSIC) host Jamestown at 1 p.m. Sunday.
