The college football season begins in August and runs through January 19, 2026 - the date of the second College Football Playoff expanded tournament championship.

The primary television carriers are the ESPN networks, the Fox Sports networks, plus free TV networks CBS, Fox, NBC, ABC and The CW.

The four main telecast windows on Saturdays are noon, 3:30 p.m., 7:30 or 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

The networks will determine start times and choices (during the regular season) either six or 12 days in advance.
