SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Port of Caddo-Bossier and the Shreveport-Bossier Committee of 100 presented Louisiana’s Economic Outlook for 2026-2027 on Friday, Oct. 3.

Economist, Dr. Loren Scott, presented the report that detailed job stats, potential growth, and the future of oil and natural gas.

According to the report, Shreveport and Bossier City are expected to see nearly 6,000 new jobs opening up within the next two years.

Justyn Dixon with North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) says the thousands of job opportunities will be a big part of attracting people to the area.
