SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - As we approach the of day three of the government shutdown, some local organizations that get funds from the federal government, are starting to worry.

Others say they are okay, for now.

“If they can figure that out over the weekend, we may not skip a beat, but the longer it goes on, WIC, SNAP, and TEFAB, will be effected,” said Jacob Wanderschied, the Executive Director of the Food Bank of Siouxland.

With no end in sight for the government shutdown, the clock is ticking for organizations that rely on federal funding, including the Food Bank of Siouxland.

Though they’re not panicking yet, because the Food Bank has a plan in place for situations like this.

“We do try to save a little bit of money, in case of an emergency,” said Wanderschied. “So that we can put some
