KNOX COUNTY, Neb. (KCAU) — The Knox County, Nebraska, Board of Supervisors and its seven members are facing new civil lawsuits after a breach of privacy at the County Courthouse.
The complaints were filed by County Sheriff Don Henery, his brother Dan, who previously served as Chief Deputy, Heather Kienow, a former 9-1-1 coordinator, and former Deputy Attorney John Thomas.
Court documents indicate that the firings of Dan Henery, along with eliminating Thomas’ position during a closed session on August 27, violated the state’s Open Meetings Act.
