TOWN OF ULSTER, N.Y. — Officials celebrated the Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Center’s move into the iPark 87 campus on Friday afternoon, despite $1.5 million in back taxes owed to the county by developer National Resources.

A spokesperson for Metzger declined to discuss National Resources’ tax information prior to the event, and said the county would release additional information at the end of October.

Ulster County Comptroller March Gallagher confirmed in a phone interview Friday evening that National Resources owed $1.5 million in taxes, not including school taxes due Oct. 15.

She also said the developer hasn’t made any payments on the property since 2023.
