BETHEL PARK, Pa. —

Bethel Park student Sean Rover, who has spent the last decade inspiring others with his smile, is on another road to recovery after a recent accident during gym class.

Rover created a nonprofit organization called Smiles from Sean to help other kids with serious medical issues. This initiative came after his diagnosis with brain cancer, which led to two surgeries and radiation treatments.

However, things took a turn in early September.

"I was clocking out of work when I got the message from his dad that they were in the ambulance on the way to Mercy (Hospital)," said Maria Rover, Sean's mother.
