NORFOLK, Va. — President Donald Trump announced in a post on Truth Social , his social media platform, that he will be visiting Norfolk on Sunday, Oct. 5 to celebrate the Navy's 250th birthday.
"This will be the largest Celebration in the History of the Navy," his post reads. "Thousands of our brave Active Duty Servicemembers and Military Families will be in attendance, and I look forward to this special day with all of them. See you on Sunday!"
He also said in the post that First Lady Melania Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of the Navy John Phelan will be in attendance at an event he called a "Salute to the Fleet."
