While Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signed four bills into law Friday the Democrat-led Legislature passed during a special session that ended a day prior, the fate of a watered-down bill dealing with vaccines for children remains in limbo.
"She's still deliberating on that bill," Michael Coleman, the governor's chief spokesman, said in a telephone interview.
Lujan Grisham's concerns were expressed in a news release issued after the session ended Thursday, he said.
"Lujan Grisham slams Republicans for delaying Covid vaccine for children," the release stated, adding the governor was critical of House Republicans "who voted on a straight party line to restrict access to COVID-19 vaccines for children in New Mexico for 90 days."
