PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Multiple people were arrested in front of the Portland ICE building on Thursday night by PPB , including a popular conservative influencer. That arrest led to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to launch a federal investigation into the Portland Police Bureau.

PPB Chief of Police Bob Day said the bureau has been under DOJ oversight since 2012 and the way they conduct arrests during protests is based on protocol laid out for them by the Department of Justice. Because of that, he said there is no political bias associated with PPB enforcement and said the arrest of influencer Nick Sortor was based on probable cause.
