The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation released a statement in response to the recent attacks at places of worship.
The Jewish Federation said it is "horrified" by the Wednesday car and knife attack at a Manchester, England synagogue. The federation voiced it was equally grieved to hear of the Sept. 28 Michigan attack on a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints service.
Manchester's attack occurred on Yom Kippur, the Jewish faith's holiest day of the year.
"Once again, we are witnessing hate-filled violence targeting innocent people simply for gathering in prayer — a fundamental right that must be protected for people of every faith," the federation said in a statement.
