MADISON, Wis. -- It was another blowout win for the Wisconsin women's hockey team on Friday as they took down the Maine Black Bears, 5-0, on a night when the 2025 National Championship banner was raised at La Bahn Arena.

Maine's defense came to play in the opening period. The Badgers hurled 18 shots on goal but not one could get past goalie Kiia Lahtinen. The Black Bears' skaters produced a few high-quality chances of their own but Ava McNaughton was up to the task.

As has so often been the case for the Badgers, a relentless attack eventually wore down the opposition. Wisconsin ended the game with 51 shots on net, more than double Maine's 25.
