Any hope of a mad dash to the regular season finish line was dashed Friday in a 20-13 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders at TD Place.

It was Ottawa’s fourth straight defeat and left the cellar-dwelling team with a 4-11 record.

It also marks the fifth time in the last six seasons that the Redblacks will watch the CFL playoffs from the sidelines.

The Redblacks ended a four-season post-season drought in 2024 when they finished third with a 9-8-1 record before losing to the Toronto Argonauts in the Eastern semifinal.
