Jimmy Thelin has admitted it is crucial that Aberdeen dump Dundee. ‌

The Dons sit bottom of the table with one point and their manager accepts that they need to start picking up points and climbing the table quickly. ‌

Aberdeen have also still to score a league goal but go in with a bit more confidence after they netted twice in their 3-2 Conference League opener to Shakhtar Donetsk. ‌

Thelin admitted: “We need to take the first three points and to get that first league win at home.

“We have had Falkirk and Livingston at home and they were super-important for us and we only took one point from those games.

“Now it is crucial, we put on a good performance and we take the points. We need to get closer to the other teams.” ‌
