CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Drivers say they’re tired of dealing with heavy traffic on Interstate 64 in Cabell County as crews are working to open up the new Guyandotte River bridges.
“It’s been a nightmare,” Milton resident Danny Mobley said. “Basically, you know especially when it’s bad weather.”
On Friday, the traffic shift began onto these new bridges with lane and ramp closures starting at 7 p.m.
Mobley said despite his frustrations, it’s always nice seeing progress in an area with so many changes.
“They’re doing a good job,” he said. “It just would’ve been nice if it was a little bit quicker maybe, but they’re doing good.”
Crews shut down the right lanes heading east between the Merritts Creek exit and 29th Street, while also leaving just one lane open on the westbound side ov
