Four new driving laws and rules are set to come into effect in October 2025. The changes, which have been announced by the government, local councils, Transport for London, DVLA and DVSA, could leave drivers at risk of falling foul of the new regulations and facing unnecessary charges.

The new driving laws launching in October include a daily £5 charge for car owners, changes to licence rules and more. These follow similar changes that were approved and implemented in September, causing a significant shake-up for many motorists.
