A 29-year-old man was shot and killed Friday in Little Village, Chicago police said.

Around 3:18 p.m., someone in an unknown vehicle approached the man in the 2600 block of West Cermak Road, police said. A person got out of the vehicle and shot the man multiple times with a handgun.

The man was shot in the face and body, and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police said no one is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
