MCDONALD, Pa. —

First responders were at the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Washington County on Friday night.

Emergency dispatchers said it happened in the 300 block of East Lincoln Avenue in McDonald. Advertisement

The shooting happened shortly before 8:30 p.m., according to dispatchers, who said a man was shot and taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Several police vehicles, including a Pennsylvania State Police car, were at the scene around Michael's Tavern as the investigation continued late Friday night. Yellow police tape was blocking a section of the sidewalk in front of the bar and restaurant.

A fire official at the scene directed questions toward state police. Pittsburgh's Action News 4 has requested more information from state police.
