United States President Donald Trump on Friday released a video message after Hamas signalled acceptance of parts of his Gaza peace proposal , stressing that his priority was to bring Israeli hostages home.

""I want to thank the countries that helped me put this together: Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and so many others. This is a big day. We will see how it turns out. We have to get the final word down and concrete. Very importantly, I look forward to having the hostages come home to their parents," Trump said in a video message posted on his Truth Social account hours after Hamas announced it would release all captives taken during the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel and enter negotiations on a prisoner exchange.
