Following a touchdown that cut it to a one-point game with 1:02 remaining, the Golden Bears went for the win with a two-point conversion attempt.

However, Becton (4-2) turned Lyndhurst aside and captured a 14-13 victory in East Rutherford.

Lyndhurst (4-2) pinned Becton back to its own four-yard line late in the fourth quarter, but Becton answered with a 96-yard touchdown pass from Elijah Davis to Malikai Johnson to take a 14-7 lead with 4:28 remaining.

Lyndhurst tied the game at seven with 11:42 left in the fourth quarter following a fumble recovery and a 55-yard touchdown pass.

Becton opened the scoring with 2:44 remaining in the first half with an eight-yard touchdown run from Davis.
