WALKERSVILLE — Colton Amoriell got called up to Walkersville's varsity team as a freshman for the playoffs but wouldn't become a full-time running back, the position he played growing up, until his senior year because the Lions had other standouts in the backfield.
Amoriell understood and found other ways to contribute. He caught touchdown passes as a slot receiver, bolstered the defense as a standout safety, threw a touchdown pass on a reverse and kicked extra points and field goals.
